FCHS History -- The FPS alternative education program began in 1991 as the Farmington Alternative Academy under the leadership of Terry Klenczar (director) and Diane Duthie (supervisor). The program started with 25 students, 4 teachers, and 3 classrooms. The program has been housed at Ten Mile School, Maxfield Training Center (on Thomas), and we are currently located at the Farmington Community School. Today, we serve approximately 150 students, with 7 classrooms, on-line course options, 6 teachers, and a counselor. Our mascot it the powerful Cougar, and our colors are red and white.
