Bio

I graduated from UofM in 1993. I received my juris doctor from Cornell Law School in 1996. I worked at Dickinson Wright from 1996-2001. I worked at Foley & Lardner from 2001-2016, becoming an equity partner in 2005. I started my own business litigation boutique law firm in 2016. I am a trustee for the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Foundation. I have served on the Board of the Detroit Police Athletic League for 11 years, including 8 years on the Executive Committee and 2 years as its chairperson. We provide athletic programming to 14,000 girls and boys in Detroit. I co-chaired a $20 million capital campaign to construct a new headquarters and sports stadium for DPAL on the site of Old Tiger Stadium. The facility opened in March 2018. I am currently developing an indoor sports facility in Flint that will open in November 2019. I have been married to my wife Janis since 1998. We have three children ages 19, 17 and 10. We live in Northville.
